Wyoming Promise

Wyoming Promise is a Wyoming-based organization that calls for a 28th amendment to the US Constitution that would overturn Citizens United vs. FEC through a statewide ballot initiative. Wyoming Promise believes campaign finance reform is the only way we the people – not corporations or special interests – can bring back democracy and govern ourselves. Wyoming is the country’s most conservative state, and if it were to call for a 28th Amendment, it would prove that the issue of money in politics can cut across partisan lines, inspiring other states to follow Wyoming’s lead. If you're a Wyoming resident, sign the petition to get Free and Fair Elections on the statewide ballot for November 2020 or join Wyoming Promise as a volunteer.

Free Speech For People works to renew our democracy and our United States Constitution for we the people. Founded on the day of the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling, Free Speech For People envisions a democratic process in which all people have an equal voice and an equal vote. We advance this mission with the following innovative, effective, and complementary strategies:

  • We catalyze and help lead the movement to amend the U.S. Constitution to overturn the Supreme Court’s rulings in Citizens United v. FEC and Buckley v. Valeo, and the doctrines underlying those rulings;
  • We engage in legal advocacy in the courts to advance a new jurisprudence on money in politics and to confront the misuse of the U.S. Constitution to claim corporate exemptions from our laws;
  • We develop and advocate for model laws and other tools to challenge big money in politics and to make corporations responsible to the public;
  • We challenge corruption at the highest levels of our government and lead bold campaigns for accountability under the law.

Move to Amend is a national, grassroots coalition of hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of People working to amend the US Constitution to end corporate constitutional rights and money as free speech. Move to Amend is building a movement at a local, state, and federal level to fight corporate rule and legalize democracy!
